Privacy policy

1. Who we are

DataForGAIO is operated by Guni Innovations Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202302437E), a company incorporated in the Republic of Singapore. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and services, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. Questions and requests go to dani@dataforgaio.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information: the name, email address, and organization details you give us when creating an account, plus authentication records such as hashed credentials and sign-in timestamps.

Usage information: the requests you submit to the API, the jobs they create, the receipts produced, and the units billed. This is required to operate and bill the service.

Technical information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, and log data generated when you use the website or API.

Communications: the contents of messages you send us and our replies, kept so we can handle your request and any follow-up.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send them to us.

3. Web content we crawl

Our service fetches publicly reachable web pages that you target. Those pages may incidentally contain personal data published by third parties. We process that content on your instructions in order to return it to you together with its crawl receipt.

For that processed content you act as the controller and we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the collection and for your intended use of the content. A data protection agreement is available on request.

We do not fetch pages behind authentication, and we do not circumvent access controls or paywalls.

4. Why we process your data

To provide the service you asked for, including running jobs, producing receipts, and giving you access to results — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.

To bill you accurately and keep financial records — necessary for the contract and to comply with legal obligations.

To secure the service, investigate abuse, and maintain operational logs — our legitimate interest in running a safe service.

To respond to your enquiries and send service messages about your account. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can stop it at any time.

5. Sharing and sub-processors

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, infrastructure, and payment providers, and only to the extent they need it to perform their work for us.

We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

A current list of sub-processors is available on request and is provided as part of our data protection agreement.

6. International transfers

We operate from Singapore and use infrastructure providers that may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards and require our providers to apply protections consistent with this policy.

7. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is open, and for a limited period afterwards to handle disputes and meet legal obligations.

Job results and receipts are retained according to your account settings so you can audit past collection. You can delete them earlier, and we will delete remaining copies after your account closes, other than records we must keep for accounting purposes.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

To exercise a right, email dani@dataforgaio.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

Guni Innovations Pte. Ltd. is ISO 27001 certified for information security management. We encrypt data in transit, restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and store API keys as hashes so they cannot be retrieved after creation.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies. Where we use analytics, we do so in a way designed to limit personal data.

11. Children's data

Our services are intended for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. When changes are material we will give notice through the service or by email, and the effective date below will change.
